Research Aids
Need help with your research? CTGS has provided a variety of free resources.
As you have probably already discovered there are THOUSANDS of genealogy websites available. Where do you start? Which ones do you need to specific areas of research? CTGS has compiled a
categorized list of helpful websites. All of these sites have been recommended either by one of our members or one of the speakers at a CTGS event.
What is a
Genealogy Pearl? It's a short pearl of wisdom that someone else has uncovered along the way and shared with you through our web site. The pearls are grouped into dozens of genealogical categories.
Each of our members is researching multiple family lines. This database shows all the surnames being researched by our members. Want to know more about a particular ancestor that we may have already researched? Just find the name in our
surname database and submit a query to the member who is researching that name.
This is our area for miscellaneous articles, timelines, glossaries and other helpful facts related to genealogy. If you are researching a Waco or McLennan County ancestor, check out our
timeline of Waco history to see where your relative falls.
